The first pedal strokes started in the freezing fog and wind of Saturday morning, but soon turned into glorious sunshine!

KAP Sani2C

KAP Sani2C 2017

A big congratulations to Reon Britz and Riaan Barnard, for successfully completing this year's 13th edition of the KAP Sani2C - the world’s largest mountain bike stage race. The event attracted some of South Africa's strongest marathon and stage mountain bike riders, along with a few stand-out cross-country specialists.

The race started at Glencairn Farm in Himeville and took our team all the way to the Scottburgh main beach on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

A total of 1500 riders competed in the race this year. Due to its popularity, Sani2C has evolved to offer three editions of the same event - the Trail, the Adventure and the Race. Reon and Riaan both completed in the Trail, which started on Tuesday, 9 May and finished 265km later, on Thursday, 11 May.

This was Reon’s first Sani2C race and Riaan’s third. Well done to you both!

It’s Time

South Africa On Its Knees

On 22 April 2017, over a million people gathered on the farm Wilde Als, 4 km outside of Bloemfontein, for a National Day of Prayer, which focused on faith and the hope for our country to change for the better. The It’s Time event, was arranged by the well-known evangelist, Angus Buchan.

LCS thought it well to support this event by sponsoring a bus to drive down from Heidelberg for the day. A total of 60 people, consisting of employees, family members, friends and members of the local community, boarded the LCS bus in the early hours of Saturday morning, for a life changing experience.

“After 22 April, South Africa will be a changed country,” says Buchan. The day turned out to be a great success - absolutely mind blowing and spiritually uplifting, with an estimated 1 million people in attendance!

We are humbled to have been a part of such an event and we would like to thank everyone who joined us on our trip. We trust that the spiritual fire that was lighted in Bloemfontein will be sustained and that it will spread like wild fire, all across our beautiful country!

"If our nation gets together as one, God will answer our prayers. We must just believe. We must believe in miracles, we must believe in His ability, and we must start to trust.”

Angus Buchan.
